AppleProAudio.com features original stories, product reviews, over 100 syndicated news headlines, message boards, industry calendars, stories formatted for AvantGo PDA plain text format, RSS syndication feeds, a Dashboard Widget sending news and message board postings to user's desktops, music file uploads and more.

The site is a registration-optional site, so any visitor can read our news and other content without signing up for the site. AppleProAudio.com is published by Lawson Music Media. Publisher owner Mike Lawson has produced many of the biggest-selling professional audio and music business books in the industry since 1996. He began publishing the MixBooks and EMBooks imprints with Mix Magazine and Electronic Musician over a decade ago, releasing titles like Live Sound Reinforcement, The Art of Mixing, The Mixing Engineer's Handbook, Professional Microphone Techniques and MixVideo titles including the Shaping Your Sound series, The Art of Mixing, and more.

In 2000, Lawson and partners bought the MixBooks catalog and formed ArtistPro.com, which delivered news, free online training courses teaching audio production, forum hosts such as Alan Parsons, Al Schmitt, Joe Chiccarelli, Glenn Meadows, Fred Bogert, along with guest columnist Bob Welch. Along with the website, ArtistPro began publishing book and video titles under ArtistPro Video, ProAudio Press, ProMusic Press and delivered the annual Recording Industry Sourcebook directory in print and CD-ROM.

In July 2004, ArtistPro was sold to Thomson Learning. After publishing over two dozen additional titles for Thomson, Lawson formed Lawson Music Media to again focus on publishing street-level, accessible and easy-to-learn-from publications in print, Internet, video and software formats. Lawson Music Media develops book and video content publications exclusively for Hal Leonard Corp, who has been the distribution partner of all of Lawson's publications since 1996.
